Hi, I'm Meg, the hands behind Grumpy Goat Soaps!

I started this business after developing a soap recipe for my husband who has extremely sensitive skin, including psoriasis.

​

Unfortunately, every time he showered he would break out in hives from head-to-toe.

​

After going back and forth, we pinned it down to the after effects of using heavily fragranced and laden with chemicals, 'commercial' soap from the store.

 

It was heart-breaking and I knew I had to DO something. 

 

So, after much research, testing and development for the perfect soap formula and also how I could incorporate our steady supply of fresh goat milk from the farm into a natural soap product that would make his skin happy - I eventually created the perfect bar of natural goat milk soap!

 

Soon after, Grumpy Goat Soaps was born and the rest is history!

Based out of Black Creek, BC we are most at home in our little soap studio nestled amongst the trees close to the ocean, with the sound of our goats moving around, just feet away.

It is here, that we are able to put all of our creativity to work.

 

We are inspired by nature: the garden, the herbs and flowers, the trees, the fragrances - all of creation.

Our soaps are made using the traditional cold process method, formulated with a variety of natural ingredients (sourced locally when possible) reputed for their amazing, skin-loving and aromatic benefits. Once our soaps are made and unmolded, they sit to ‘cure' for 5-6 weeks.

 

Our journey has been nothing short of amazing. Be it through the process of learning and growing, but also, being able to cross paths with so many wonderful people along the way.
