Goat Milk Soap
Collapsible content
Is goat milk soap good for your skin?
Absolutely! Please check out the Benefits of Goat Milk Soap to learn more.
What is the difference between goat milk soap and regular soap?
Traditional soaps often contain synthetic ingredients and may cause skin concerns such as dryness and irritation. Our goat milk soap is made from fresh goat milk and natural ingredients. Often, people choose goat milk soap for its soothing and gentle properties.
When does goat milk soap expire?
When properly stored, your soap can last for years. However, the sooner you use it the better - the scent may fade slightly over time.
What are the disadvantages of goat milk soap?
Very few, in fact! As it uses animal products (milk), it is not vegan. We seriously can’t think of anything else, it is that amazing!
How do you properly store goat milk soap?
We recommend storing it on a dish that allows for air circulation, so it can dry completely between uses.
Tallow Products
Collapsible content
My tallow Balm consistency is not what I expected, and the unscented version has a beefy smell - is this normal?
Yes! Given that this product is made from beef fat, and even though it has been rendered 3 times to remove as many impurities as possible, it does still have a slight beefy scent. Unless you have a complete intolerance for any scent (including essential oils), we would recommend getting a scented version of our tallow.
Also, temperature drastically changes the consistency - but no matter what, the benefits on your skin are just as wonderful! Be sure to store your tallow balm at room temperature.
What are the benefits of using tallow products?
Similar to the benefits of goat milk, tallow has been shown to have a nourishing and moisturizing effect on the skin. It is especially beneficial for eczema and extremely dry skin.
Do you sell whipped tallow balm?
Yes, we do! Our whipped tallow balms are made with 100% grass fed/finished beef tallow. Please see our online store for current inventory.

Candle Care Tips
The gentle crackle and unique flicker of your wood wick candle makes for a super cozy ambience, but they can be a little tricky to burn if you're not used to them. Wooden wicks burn a bit differently than traditional cotton wicks do, and there are a few common issues that cause them to not stay lit.
But don’t worry! If you remember just a few best practices, it should be smooth sailing and long, clean burns from here on out.
-
1) The first burn is the most important
Give your candle enough burning time to develop a melted wax pool that goes all the way to the edge of the container on the first use.
Believe it or not, your jar candles have a kind of “wax-memory,” and once a burning pattern has been established, it can be hard to change.
-
2) Keep your wood wick trimmed short and free of charred bits
For optimal burn, clean off any burnt wood from previous use.
Remember, it’s not the wood fueling your candle’s flame, it’s the wax. The flame is drawing the wax upwards through the wick, so if it’s not short and clean, the wax can’t make it to the flame.
If you are experiencing any smoke from a wood wick candle, it’s because the wick needs to be trimmed and the burnt parts cleared out, or there is a draft interfering with the natural burn.
