Tallow & Zinc Sun Balm
Crafted with nourishing pure beef tallow and non-nano zinc oxide, our Tallow & Zinc Sun Balm is designed for those seeking a simple, traditional approach to outdoor skincare.
This rich yet smooth balm glides on, providing lasting moisture while creating a mineral-based barrier on the skin.Â
NOTE: This balm is not the same consistency as our regular Tallow Balms, it is much thicker and more 'waxy' feeling. This is due to the beeswax added to the formula (to ensure long lasting coverage while out and about in the sun).
Suitable for the entire family, it can be applied to the face and body before spending time outdoors and reapplied as needed, especially after swimming or prolonged sun exposure.
Unlike many conventional sun care products, our formula contains no synthetic fragrances (unscented), heavy metals, chemical UV filters or unnecessary preservatives or additives. Instead, we've combined a handful of carefully selected ingredients to create a premium, unscented balm that supports healthy-looking skin during the sunniest months of the year.
Best used within one year of purchase. But with that 'guideline', your balm will keep in the fridge til' next summer if not used up this year.
Why Non-Nano Zinc Oxide?
Non-nano zinc oxide consists of particles larger than 100 nanometers. Because these particles remain on the surface of the skin rather than being absorbed, non-nano zinc oxide is widely preferred in mineral-based sun care formulations and is considered a safer option for both people and the environment.
While we do not assign or advertise a specific SPF rating for this product, non-nano zinc oxide is commonly used in mineral sun care products available on the market today, with similar formulas offering a 30 SPF rating.

Directions
Apply generously to exposed skin before outdoor activities. Reapply as needed, particularly after swimming, sweating, or towel drying.
